Girl Tips Every Teen Should Know ðŸŽ€

song of the day 😉

Navigating girlhood can be both exciting and challenging, especially without maternal guidance. I remember seeing girls cry, laugh, fight, and consult with their mothers about diffrent parts of their teenage years and I always got a little jealous. I had my dad but it just wasn’t the same. This need to find comfort in someone put me in a lot of tough sitiuations and friendships where I over shared quite a bit ( it ended very badly).

But I also developed a sense of independence that many teens don’t have. And even though it took time, but I think I collected a fair few tips on being a teenage girl.

Here are some empowering tips to help you embrace your journey with confidence and grace:

  1. Self-Love and Acceptance: Embrace every part of who you are. Acknowledge your strengths, but also accept your flaws and imperfections. Self-love isn’t just about loving the good parts; it’s about embracing your entire being with compassion and kindness.
  2. Educational Pursuits: Education is not just a means to an end; it’s a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Dive deep into subjects that intrigue you, challenge yourself to learn new things, and never underestimate the power of knowledge in shaping your future.
  3. Assertiveness and Boundaries: Develop a strong sense of self and assertiveness. Know your boundaries and communicate them clearly. It’s okay to say no when something doesn’t align with your values or makes you uncomfortable. You’ll encounter many tough relationships and connections in your teenage years, and if you don’t value your comfort first, you’ll get hurt easily.
  4. Healthy Relationships: Create relationships that contribute to your growth and well-being. Surround yourself with people who support and respect you for who you are. Recognize the red flags of toxic relationships and prioritize your mental and emotional health. IT’S OKAY TO CUT PEOPLE OFF.
  5. Embracing Failure and Resilience: Failure is not the opposite of success; it’s a stepping stone to growth. Embrace failures as valuable learning experiences, develop resilience, and bounce back stronger with newfound knowledge and determination. (coming from a raging perfectionist)
  6. Self-Care Rituals: Prioritize your physical, mental, and emotional well-being through self-care rituals. Eat nourishing foods, engage in regular exercise, practice mindfulness and relaxation techniques, and seek support when needed. Taking care of yourself is a non-negotiable act of self-love.
  7. Kindness and Empathy: be kind and empathetic towards yourself and others. Small acts of kindness have a ripple effect, spreading positivity and creating a more compassionate world.
  8. Exploring Passions and Hobbies: Discover what sets your soul on fire and pursue it passionately. Whether it’s art, music, sports, writing, or any other interest, dedicating time to your passions nurtures creativity, fulfillment, and a sense of purpose.
  9. Self-Advocacy and Leadership: Advocate for yourself, your ideas, and your aspirations, don’t let anyone shut down your ideas. Develop leadership skills by taking initiative, voicing your opinions, and making a positive impact in your community.
  10. Enjoy every moment: Even though being a teenage girl is a very tough experience, it is a very beautiful one. Cherish the laughter, the adventures, and even the challenges, as they shape you into a confident and resilient individual. I know everyone says “don’t waste your teenage years” and I personally don’t believe in that. But please do enjoy, I can’t tell you how to do that since having fun means diffrent things to diffrent people, but do what makes YOU happy, not what society tells you to do.
